Matay's Barbershop, located at Haaksbergerstraat 358, 7513 EJ Enschede, is responsible for the processing of personal data as described in this policy. Owner Matay Ilik is the point of contact for privacy questions.

We only process the data needed to serve you well. Depending on how you get in touch, this includes:

• First and last name
• Phone number and email address
• Appointment details: chosen service, barber, date and time (via our booking system Salonized)
• The content of messages you send us via WhatsApp, phone or email
• Technical and usage data from our website, such as IP address, device and browser type, and pages viewed (only with your consent, see Analytics and marketing)

We do not process payment details such as bank or credit card numbers through this website, and we do not track your browsing across other websites.

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

• Creating, confirming and managing your appointment (basis: performance of the contract)
• Contacting you and answering your questions via WhatsApp, phone or email (basis: legitimate interest)
• Improving and securing our website and measuring the effect of our ads (basis: your consent via the cookie banner)
• Complying with legal obligations, such as tax administration

For online bookings we use the Salonized booking system. When you book, your name, contact details and appointment data are processed in Salonized. Salonized acts as a processor and processes this data solely on our behalf, under a data processing agreement.

No account is required to book. The data is used to schedule your appointment and to send you a confirmation or reminder.

If you contact us via WhatsApp, phone or email, we keep your message and contact details for as long as needed to answer your question and, where applicable, handle your appointment.

For WhatsApp messages, WhatsApp's (Meta) privacy policy also applies. Please do not share sensitive data via WhatsApp that you would rather not share with us.

To improve our website and measure the effect of our ads, we use the following services. They are only loaded after you have given consent via the cookie banner:

• Microsoft Clarity for anonymous statistics about how our website is used
• Google (Google Ads and Google Tag Manager) to measure the effect of our ads

We do not use Google Analytics. Your consent is managed via Cookiebot and you can adjust or withdraw it at any time. Read more on our cookie page.

Our website uses functional cookies and, with your consent, cookies for statistics and marketing. You decide which categories you allow via the cookie banner.

A complete and up-to-date overview of all cookies can be found on our cookie page, where you can change your preferences at any time.

Our website is hosted by Vercel. When you visit, technical server logs are recorded automatically, such as the IP address and time, to keep the website secure and available.

All connections to our website are encrypted via SSL/TLS (the padlock in your browser). We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss or unlawful use. If you feel your data is not properly secured, please contact us at mataysbarbershop20@gmail.com.

We do not keep your personal data longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. Appointment and customer data are kept for as long as you are a customer. Data we are legally required to keep, such as for tax administration, is retained for the legally required period.

We do not sell your data. We only share it with parties that help us deliver our services, and only where necessary:

• Salonized (booking system)
• Vercel (hosting)
• Google and Microsoft (statistics and ads, only after consent)
• Meta (WhatsApp), if you contact us via WhatsApp

Where required, data processing agreements have been concluded with these parties. Beyond that, we only share data when legally obliged to do so.

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• view, correct or have your data deleted;
• withdraw your consent for cookies or data processing;
• object to the processing of your data;
• have your data transferred (data portability).
